The PPA, Phillaur stresses input on the higher education, technological advancement and human rights sensitivity of the police.
 
Director's Message

Ever since its inception in the year 1891 as Police Training School, and then as Police Training College and now as Punjab  Police Academy, this institution has always possessed a rich heritage of values and traditions for which it is known the world over.

Annual POP of Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur

 

The Annual Passing Out Parade of Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur was held in which Addl. Director General of Police (HRD, Law & Order and CP) S.K.Sharma took the Salute.

 

Ishwar Chandar, IPS, Working Director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur presented the report of the Academy. He also congratulated the passing out trainees on the successful completion of their training and wished them success in all walks of life. A total number of 421 trainees passed out in this Passing Out Parade which included 1 P/DSP, 12 P/ASI, 296 Lady Recruits and 114 trainees of Basic Drill Instructor Course. P/DSP Alam Vijay Singh  son of former DIG Late Narinderpal Singh commanded the Parade.   

 

ADGP Sharma honored 11 cops and gave away prizes to them. A colourful cultural programme which included Motor Cycle Show, Tent Pegging, Dog Show, Malkhamb and Bhangra was performed after the Passing Out Parade. A Badha Khana (Community Dinner) was also organized in which the Director and other officers of the Academy shared food with the passing out trainees.

 

Academy Dy. Director (General),  M.S Teji, Dy. Director (Indoor) Gurpreet Singh Toor,  Dy. Director (Outdoor) Rupinder Singh besides Ludhiana Police Commissioner Ishwar Singh Former DGP Mahal Singh Bhullar and Chief Director Vigilance Punjab Suresh Arora and other officers of the Academy were also present on the occassion.
